Machias Solar Farm

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Machias Solar Farm sits on 16 acres about 1 hour south of Buffalo, NY. As a community solar project participating in NY Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) program, this project will enable local residents to benefit from clean energy by subscribing to the solar farm, and receiving bill credits to offset their National Grid electric charges. AMS provided turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction services on the Machias Solar Farm, from preparation of construction ready plan sets through to commissioning and testing. Due to the presence of glacial till observed during pull testing, this 2P fixed-tilt array was designed with ground screws to mitigate subsurface risk.
